Seven IPE Awards to ATP

On the 18th of November 2009 ATP became the runaway winner at this year’s IPE Awards hosted in Dublin, Ireland.

ATP was awarded the Gold Award as the best pension company in Europe by the international Magazine Investment & Pensions Europe, IPE, and picked up a total of seven awards:

European Pension Fund of the Year (Gold Award)

Best Public Pension Fund

Among other things the jury placed great emphasis on ATP’s investment results, innovation and risk management in a very turbulent financial market.

ATP is an immensely well-oiled and intelligent pension investment engine that develops innovative solutions on all levels witin its business. Despite the huge challenges in the business during the last few years, ATP has never ceased to impress with its investment results, low costs and risk management. ATP not only sets new standards but turns the entire pension world upside down”, was the judges’ reason for awarding ATP the most prestigious award – the socalled Gold Award.

We can be very proud of this award, which is the result of a long haul from a large number of dedicated employees. I am especially proud of IPE’s appreciation of ATP’s way of securing the Danes’ pension during the financial crisis. This award gives us new energy to continue the work on making the pension scheme even more simple and efficient,” says CEO at ATP, Lars Rohde.

Besides the Gold Award, ATP was awarded a Silver Award as Europe’s best public pension company  and the award as Denmark’s best pension company along with four theme awards. With a total of seven awards ATP became the most winning pension company ever at an IPE-Award.
